Groups that benefit

Hook Fun Run & Road Race is an an entirely non-profit making event. We are grateful to all of our 2011 sponsors who covered most of our running costs. This has ensured that proceeds from entry fees can go directly to local charities and community organisations in the Hook area.

Over £65,000 has been raised in the 19 years that the event has been running. We are delighted that £5,000 was available from the 2011 event for us to donate to groups that included:

  • Hook Junior School
  • Hook Infants School
  • The Base Youth Club
  • Hook Explorer Scout Group
  • 2nd Odiham Scouts
  • Odiham District Explorer Scouts
  • Hook & Odiham Lions
  • Stepping Stones
  • Army Benevolent Fund
  • Hampshire Constabulary Welfare Fund
  • Junction 5 Advice Centre
  • National Autistic Society
  • Hook FC
  • Hook Village Nursery
  • Hook Allotments
  • The Gordon Brown Centre
  • Hook and Newnham Basics Cricket Club
  • Maple Ridge School
