Results from 18th May 2008

What can we say but... it was a great day!

A record 935 runners took part in the 2008 event, seventy up from 2007. The weather was just about perfect and the atmosphere on the site was terrific. We'd like to say a huge thank you to all the volunteers - around 150 of them - who turned out to make the whole event possible.

We had a new course record. Ben Watson from Aldershot, Farnham & District AC won in an amazing time of 14.39, breaking the previous record by a massive 20 seconds. Well done to him.

The Mary Dearlove trophy for the oldest participant in any race was won again by Arthur Bundy.

Full results are attached below. Please send any queries about the results to team@hookfunrun.com.

We hope to see everybody at next year's event on Sunday, 17th May 2009.

A big thank you to this year's sponsor

To view the photos from the 2008 fun run (and also 2002 - 2007), please click on the link below:

This takes you to a PhotoBox gallery that contains all the pics from the day.

Getting copies of the photos - there are a number of ways for you to get copies:

PhotoBox themselves offer an online print service and will send them to you directly. Details are with the pictures on their website from the link above. We have set this up for 7 * 5 inch and 10*8 inch prints only. We have no association with PhotoBox, but quality appears to be very good from results we've seen.

For larger prints: We can also supply bigger prints (any size you want) at reasonable prices, by supplying the reference of the photo you want (from the PhotoBox site). Email pete@bryanworld.net for further details if required.

Home printing: For those wanting to make prints at home using an inkjet printer, various file sizes (JPEGs and TIFFs) can be emailed to you for a modest fee - again please email pete@bryanworld.net for more details if you're interested.
