Run by and for the community, raising money for local charities and community organisations

Sponsorship Opportunities

Do you own or work for a local business? Would you like to get more involved in supporting your community? The Fun Run relies on sponsorship to enable us to stage the event, and inevitably our costs are rising. Please contact our chairperson via team@hookfunrun.com to discuss how we can raise your profile locally and bring you on board for 2012.

2012 Event

The next Hook Fun Run and Road Race will take place on Sunday 20th May 2012 and it'll be our 21st anniversary. Entry forms will be available here on the website during February 2012.

Thanks

Thanks to all of you who have emailed us or posted on Facebook following this year’s event. We really appreciate you taking the time to give us your feedback, and it is wonderful to hear such positive comments about the organisation, and in particular the marshals. Not sure we can take the credit for the good weather this year though!

Where are the photos?

We have tagged most of the photos from the day and sent emails out to people that contain links to photos that they feature in. If you have not received an email, but believe that you might have had your picture taken, please contact us using our our photo contact form HERE and we will check and get back to you.

2011 Results

Well done everybody! 15th May 2011 marked our biggest ever event, with 976 runners crossing the line at the Hook Schools site. It was a lovely sunny May day and the atmosphere was great.

Two other records were broken. In the 2.5 mile men's race, Toby Smith from Hook smashed the old course record by an astonishing 1 minute and 18 seconds. He was chased around the course by his younger two brothers, Bryn and Billy, who weren't far behind him! In the 6 miles men's race, Ben Martin-Dye from Bracknell Forest Runners set a new record with a time of 33 minutes and 59 seconds.

The Mary Dearlove trophy for the oldest competitor to cross the finish line in any event was awarded again to Arthur Bundy. Congratulations Arthur!

If you have a query about the results, please can you use the Results Query contact form which will be sent directly to the right people.
